On January 30, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near West 14th Street and South Minnesota Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the business and approached the employee working.  The suspect then demanded money from the employee.

On January 25, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 10th Street and South Cliff Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the business and approached the employee working.  The suspect threatened the employee with a knife and demanded money.  After obtaining an undetermined amount of money the suspect fled from the business.

On January 17, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a job site near East 33rd Street and South Veteran’s Parkway for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown subject made entry into a structure under construction.  Once inside the suspect stole numerous construction tools.  The value of the stolen items is approximately $5,000.

On January 1, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a storage facility near West 41st Street and South Ellis Road for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown subject had cut a lock to gain access.  Once inside the suspect stole several car rims and tires.  The value of the stolen items is approximately $8,000.

On January 5, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near West 12th Street and South Western Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown subject had broken out a window to gain access to the business.  Once inside the suspect stole several bottles of alcohol.  The damage done to the business and the value of the stolen items is approximately $2,000.

On December 26, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a construction site near East 60th Street North and North Velocity Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown subject(s) had cut the lock off a fence and entered the job site.  Numerous tools were taken from a vehicle at the location.  The total loss in theft and damages exceeded $1500.00.

On December 21, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near East Arrowhead Parkway and South Sycamore Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered a business and approached the employee working.  The suspect had his hands in his pockets, threatened the employee, and demanded money.  The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money and then fled from the business.

On December 14, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 12th Street and South Kiwanis Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect had forced entry into the business by breaking out a window.  Once inside, the suspect stole numerous pieces of merchandise including alcohol and cigarettes.  The damage done to the business and the value of the stolen items is approximately $2,000.

Package Thefts

Over the course of the last week, the Sioux Falls Police Department has responded to multiple reports of package thefts.  The packages were delivered to the victim’s homes and then left on the front porch. The Sioux Falls Police Department is asking people to follow these tips to protect you from being a victim.  1.  Ask a neighbor to pick up your packages for you if you know you’re not going to be home.  2.  Have items delivered to your work.  3. If a retailer allows it, select a specific time for delivery when you will be home.

On November 24, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a residence near West 12th Street and South Ellis Road for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect had forced entry into the residence when it was unoccupied.  Once inside, the suspect stole numerous pieces of jewelry, cash, and designer handbags.  The damage done to the residence and the value of the stolen items is approximately $36,000.

On November 7, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to the area of West 11th Street and South Phillips Avenue for a larceny.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect had stolen a sculpture from the Sculpture Walk on October 30, 2022.  The sculpture is called "Day's Catch" and is valued at $32,000.  Photos of the unknown suspect and an involved vehicle are attached.  SFPD CC#22-24735.

On November 8, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 9th Street and North Kiwanis Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the business and approached the subject working.  The suspect pointed a black handgun at the subject and demanded money.  The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money from the subject before fleeing from the business.

On October 26, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a residence near East 18th Street and South Bahnson Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect made entry into a residence that was for sale.  Once inside, the suspect stole the copper tubing from the unfinished basement. The value of the stolen copper and the damage done to the residence is approximately $2,000.

The value of the stolen items and the damage done to the residence is approximately $10,000.

On October 13, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 41st  Street and South Grange Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects broke out the glass door to gain access to the business.  Once inside the business the suspects broke numerous glass display cases.  The value of the stolen items and the damage done to the business is approximately $2,000.

On September 28, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a job site near East Madison Street and North Hidden Valley Road for a theft.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect cut the lock off a construction trailer to gain access.  Once inside the trailer the suspect stole numerous construction tools.  The value of the stolen tools and the damage done to the trailer is approximately $9,000.

On August 24, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 41st Street and South Minnesota Avenue for a theft.  The investigation showed that an unknown suspect used a wrench to remove the lock from a bicycle locked up outside of the business.  After removing the lock the suspect fled on the bicycle.  The value of the stolen bicycle is approximately $5,000.

On September 16, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near East 8th Street and North Cliff Avenue for an armed robbery.  The investigation showed that an unknown suspect entered the business and approached the employee working.  The suspect produced a black colored handgun and demanded money from the employee.  The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled from the business.  The suspect is described as an African American male wearing a blue sweater and black pants.
