June 30, 2022

On June 25, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near East 39th Street North and North Cliff Avenue for a larceny.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect cut a hole in a fence to gain access to the secure parking lot of the business.  The suspect broke into multiple vehicles owned by the business and stole numerous construction tools.

On June 23, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 25th Street and South Minnesota Avenue for an armed robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown male entered the business and approached an employee at the counter.  The male then produced a handgun and demanded money.  The male obtained an undetermined amount of money and vape items before fleeing from the scene.  The male was described as a Caucasian male, 5’8”-5’11”, with a thin build and was wearing all black clothing and a black mask.  SFPD CC# 22-13393.

On June 16, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 10th Street and South Cliff Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had made entry into the business after breaking out the entrance door glass.  Once inside the business the suspects stole vape products and attempted to open the cash registers.  The value of the stolen items and damage done to the business is approximately $7,000.

On June 9, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 15th Street and South Sycamore Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had made entry into the business after breaking out a glass window.  Once inside the business the suspects stole tobacco products, food, and attempted to force open the cash registers.

On June 1, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 26th Street and South Sycamore Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had made entry into the business after prying open an exterior door.  Once inside the business the suspects stole several money bags from an unlocked office.

On May 25, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near West 26th Street and South Minnesota Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had made entry into the business after breaking a window.  Once inside the business they damaged several cash registers.  The value of the stolen items and damage done to the business is approximately $30,000.

On April 30, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 34th Street North and North Cliff Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the business and approached the employee working.  The suspect pointed a black handgun at the employee and demanded money.  The suspect was able to obtain an undetermined amount of money before fleeing from the store.

On April 27, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near West 41st Street and South Kiwanis Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had broken the glass of a window to gain access.  Once inside the suspects stole numerous pieces of vape related items.  The value of the damage done to the business and the stolen items is approximately $23,000.

On April 4, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a job site near East 57th Street and South Sycamore Avenue for a theft.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had entered a house under construction.  Once inside, the suspects stole boxes of plumbing fittings and rolls of water line.  The value of the stolen items is approximately $4,000.

On March 30, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near West 41st Street and South Louise Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had used a large rock to smash out the glass doors.  Once inside the suspects stole a large amount of vape products.  The value of the stolen items and the damage done to the business is approximately $3,000.

On March 5, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near West 10th Street and South Summit Avenue for an armed robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown male entered the store and approached the employee working.  The male pulled out a handgun and demanded money.  The male obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled from the scene.  The male was described as an African American Male in his 20’s, approximately 6’2” and thin.  The male was wearing all black clothing and an orange mask.

On March 1, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to several residences near West Madison Street and North Valley View Avenue for an aggravated assault.  The investigation found that 3 separate occupied residences had been shot by unknown suspects.  One of the residents reported hearing a vehicle driving before the shots were fired.  No injuries were reported due to the shooting.

On February 20, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near East Ronning Drive and North Sycamore Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that the unknown suspect, described as a white male in his 20's that was wearing a red ski mask and flannel shirt, entered the business and approached the employee working.  The unknown suspect produced a knife and demanded money from the register before leaving the business.  A photo of the unknown suspect is attached.

On February 5, 2022, Sioux Falls Police responded to a storage unit facility near West Madison Street and North Western Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect was able to make entry into the storage unit.  Once inside the suspect stole numerous vintage toy semi-trucks.  The value of the damage and the stolen toys is approximately $2,000.
